Coach Nelson returns for his tenth year as the Head Coach of Monarchs baseball. He has been the Monarchs' skipper since their first season (as the Mustangs) in 2006. During the 2013 fall season, the franchise achieved their 200th victory under the Skipper.
Coach Nelson has played baseball all of his life, including time with the Cincinnati Reds rookie league. One of his best Monarchs memories is finishing the 2008 season with a walk-off homer by senior Taylor Bartel.
Coach Nelson's rules - following these will lead to success in life:
